Commercial Kitchen Hood Cleaning, NYC

Grease Out Of Your Hood, Ductwork, And Rooftop Fan

We clean the full exhaust system, hood to rooftop fan, to the NFPA 96 standard your insurer and the fire marshal expect. Every job ends with a certificate of performance sticker on the hood, before and after photos, and a report you can hand over at inspection. We protect your floors, prep tables, and equipment before we start, and we clean with degreasers made for kitchen exhaust grease, not general-purpose solvents.

Full-Service Cleaning

What We Clean

New York City kitchens get inspected on a schedule tied to occupancy type, and a hood with no cleaning record is one of the first things an inspector checks. An uncleaned system does not just risk a grease fire behind the wall. It can also mean a denied insurance claim if a fire investigator traces the cause back to buildup nobody documented. We clean to the standard the FDNY and most insurers expect, and we leave you with the paperwork to prove it. That paperwork matters most the day something goes wrong: a small kitchen fire that stays inside the hood instead of spreading into the duct run is often the difference between a repair and a shutdown, and inspectors want to see when the system was last serviced, not just that it looks clean today.

Hood And Exhaust System Cleaning

The core job: hood, plenum, ductwork, and rooftop fan degreased down to bare metal and cleaned to the NFPA 96 standard, with access panels reset and baffle filters back in place.

On a typical job, we protect the floor and any equipment under the hood, then pull and soak the baffle filters while we work on the hood interior. The hood cavity, plenum, and any reachable ductwork get scraped and degreased down to bare metal, not just the surfaces visible from below. Where the duct run passes through access panels, we open each one, clean the interior, and reseal it before we leave. On the roof, the exhaust fan is pulled from its curb, degreased inside and out, and reset so it draws correctly. We photograph the system before and after, and we walk it with you at the end so the report matches what you saw us do.

Ductwork Cleaning

We open access panels along the duct run and strip grease buildup from the interior walls, not just the visible sections near the hood. Panels are cleaned and resealed in the same visit, so nothing is left open overnight.

Rooftop Fan Cleaning

The exhaust fan and its housing get pulled, degreased, and reset so the system draws the way it was designed to. We check the fan belt and housing for wear while it's off the curb and flag anything that needs a repair call.

Baffle Filter Service

Baffle filters are pulled, soaked, and cleaned or exchanged on the spot when a filter is past saving. We keep spare filters in common sizes on the truck, so a swap does not mean waiting on a special order.

Fire Marshal Reporting

A cleaning report documenting the date, scope, and standard met, ready to hand over at inspection. We keep a copy on file too, so a replacement is one call away if yours gets misplaced before an inspection.

Where We Work

All Five Boroughs

We schedule around your service hours, including overnight and early-morning windows before the first ticket goes out. Building access varies by neighborhood: a walk-up in the East Village needs a different plan than a high-rise kitchen in Midtown with a freight elevator and a loading dock window. Rooftop fan work means coordinating with a super or building management to get onto the roof, and we handle that scheduling as part of the job, not as an extra step you have to manage. If you run more than one location across the boroughs, we can line up cleanings on a shared schedule so every hood stays current at the same time, instead of tracking five separate dates.

Manhattan

Chelsea, Hell’s Kitchen, Midtown, the East Village, and the Financial District.

Many of these buildings are walk-ups with narrow stairwells, so we bring gear sized to fit and schedule around your prep and service hours.

Brooklyn

Williamsburg, Bushwick, Park Slope, Sunset Park, and DUMBO.

Industrial-zoned blocks in Sunset Park and Bushwick often mean longer duct runs and bigger rooftop fans, and we plan crew size around that before we arrive.

Queens

Astoria, Long Island City, Flushing, and Jackson Heights.

Long Island City’s commissary and ghost kitchens often share exhaust systems across several tenants, and we coordinate scheduling with building management when that is the case.

The Bronx

Fordham, Mott Haven, and the Grand Concourse corridor.

This stretch has a mix of standalone restaurants and institutional kitchens, and we quote each one differently depending on hood count and duct length.

Staten Island

St. George, New Dorp, and Tottenville.

Staten Island jobs usually mean a longer drive for our crew, which we account for when we confirm the appointment window.
